LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — The Creative Artists Agency suffered a major blow this week after a key group of at least ten agents in their comedy department defected to join rival United Talent Agency.
The list of defecting agents includes Jason Heyman, Martin Lesak, Greg Cavic, Gregory McKnight, Nick Nuciforo, Chelsie McKinnies, Mackenzie Condon, Susie Fox, Joanna Scott & Jon Saks, with Rachel Rusch, Matt Blake, Matt Fros, Ryan Abboushi also rumored to be making the move as well, according to TheWrap.
Heyman has been named as a Special Advisor to UTA’s Board of Directors, while Nuciforo will lead the agency’s comedy touring division.
“Jason, Marty, Gregory, Greg and Nick are among the most respected agents in our industry,” said UTA managing directors David Kramer, Jay Sures and Jeremy Zimmer, according to Variety. “We’re excited to have them join UTA’s collaborative culture, and we know that they and their clients will thrive here.”
