120 Firefighters From 14 Departments Battle Four-Alarm Long Island House Fire

The blaze broke out around 12:40 p.m., Monday, Feb. 24, in Farmingdale at 490 Secatogue Ave., said Nassau County Police.

The fire spread and also caused damage to a residence located on Nelson Street, causing the fourth-alarm to be sounded.

Eighth Precinct police officers were first to arrive at the scene, observing a residence fully engulfed causing extensive damage. 

All occupants were out of the house, Nassau County Police said.

Two firemen were treated at a local hospital for minor burns.

One firefighter was also treated for an eye injury.
