Over the past few years, couple Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith have dealt with a number of rumors surrounding their marriage. They were most recently the target of divorce rumors (which, at the time, was unsurprising considering the vast number of famous breakups that took place in 2015), though they've since cleared up that they're very much together.
Actress Alexis Arquette, however, has hit out against the couple with a new claim: That they're both gay.
The actress posted a message to Facebook just days after Jada announced her plans to boycott this year’s Academy Awards for their continued lack of diversity. Arquette's post read, in part (via The Daily Mail), "When Jada comes out as gay and her beard husband admits his first marriage ended when she walked in to him…servicing his Sugar Daddy Benny Medina…then I will listen to them.”
Her message continued, “Will threw a fit on the set of [Six Degrees of Separation] when he was required by the scene to kiss Anthony Rapp. He persuaded the director to shoot the back of his head in frame. Blocking the non existent lip lock entirely. F---k him. Gays have enemies. They lurk in gilded closets. Outing is healthy. You are either with or against us. You decide. Today."
Arquette clarified in the comments that she was referring to Smith's first wife, Sheree Zampino. The couple were married in 1992 and had one child together before divorcing in 1995.
Arquette isn’t the first person this week to come for Will and Jada. Janet Hubert, the Fresh Prince of Bel Air's original Aunt Viv, posted a video online that called Jada out for her Oscars boycott.
She said, "Girlfriend, there’s a lot of s— going on in the world that you all don’t seem to recognize. People are dying, our boys are being shot left and right, people are hungry…[the Oscars] just ain’t that deep.”
