I respect fans who dont want carly/jason romantically involved but if carly has no romantic feelings for jason she would fight for her relationship with drew, you only do that when a one of a lifetime love comes back in your life and you know they are it for you.

If carly considered jason just a “friend” there is room in her life for drew and jason but since jason is more than that , there is no place for drew because she views jason more than a friend. Drew knew this is ,and reason he broke up with her.

Its a matter of time before carly and jason hook up.

Carly may have loved Drew, but she was never in love with him. They never talked about living together or getting married. In the end, she felt guilty that he chose to take a pled for 3 months and then judge decided to screw him and sent him to prison.

I thought the same thing when she said that, I think that statement says it all. Seems like Drew was just a stand in but now that Jason’s back it’s bye-bye Drew. If Jason had never come back Carly would have settled for him but that’s just not good enough for Drew.

When Jason died he was not in a relationship with Carly. They had decided to go back to being friends. IMO, Drew didn’t want to compete with Jason not as Carly’s lover, but for her friendship, loyalty, and devotion. He wanted to be the one Carly confides in and counts on.

When Carly made that statement I hoped she was being delusional thinking that she and Jason would be an item.

See I saw it as Jason was always in Carly’s life. When Carly and Sonny were married, Sonny accepted her relationship with Jason as her best friend. When Sonny died, it became necessary for Carly and Jason to marry to appease the other mob families. Because Carly wanted a real marriage they decided to court. Note that Carly and Jason did not have sex before the wedding and after they were interrupted by Sonny.
Not once since Jason returned have they even had a romantic kiss. I think Carly is just happy to have Jason back in her life.
BUT I think that was a breaking point for Drew - not because he was worried that Carly and Jason would resume a romantic relationship, but Drew couldn’t handle the close relationship of Carly and Jason the way that Sonny did.
I think Carly understood that and that was what she meant when she told Willow that Jason came back. Because Drew knew that Jason would have a priority place in Carly’s life and Drew wanted no part in that.

from what has happened so far seems sonny has had enough of jason/carly as well and he cant handle it anymore.

There is a history of jason and carly before there was a sonny and carly or drew and carly , and i think the show rightfully show is addressing that .I’m more now of a jason fan in a way than i am of carly , i do feel she is not as miserable when she is with jason ,I’m sorry but i don’t think any woman in jasons life can take Carly’s meddling ,I’m surprised he was even able to have kids with other women…lol she was hovering over him all his life , its unnatural unless youre in love with that person.

What was the timeline for Jason getting interested in Brit? Was that after Sony returned, so after him and Carly were together? I just don’t remember him and Carly deciding to go back to being friends, so in my mind they were together when he “died.”

As soon as Sonny showed up on their wedding night, Jason and Carly were no longer a couple. They decided to have a real marriage, but they thought Sonny was dead. Sonny and Carly were still married and Jason bowed out and left so that Sonny and Carly could figure things out.
