Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is coming on the hands of gamers in the mid-January 2020. It is the Action Role Playing Game, which plots the story of the protagonist, Son Goku.

The game takes Goku through several stages of events in the Dragon Ball Z story from the start of the Saiyan Saga to the end of the Majin Buu Saga.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot has both single-player and multiplayer modes. This game begins during the end of Dragon Ball with Goku's fight against Piccolo at the World's Martial Arts Tournament and ends with his battle against Vegeta in Dragon Ball Z. 

Gamers will find the scenario changing to an over-the-shoulder fighting game when the fight breaks out.

Regarding the multiplayer mode, only one cartridge and one game boy is required. Each character will be unlocked as the story in single-player mode, and Vegeta gets unlocked at the end. Besides that, this game also features a tournament where Goku fights in the 23rd Tenkaichi Budōkai tournament. Gamers can fight by taking Goku as a character and will be claimed as a champion if they defeat all the opponents.

The battle system is concerned with the aspects like the range of your attack, distance between you and enemy, KI ratio, available moves to build combos, and how you put your moves together.

However, Goku does not start with his powerful moves in the beginning.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot has added some character's backstories, which were not included in the original manga/anime. Also, it features the original characters designed by Akira Toriyama himself.

1. Son Goku 

Son Goku is the protagonist of the Dragon Ball Z metaseries. He is a Saiyan sent down to the earth as a son of Bardock and Gine. Later, he becomes the most excellent defender of the earth after his memory gets altered by accident.

Goku got introduced in Dragon Ball Z metaseries at the age of twelve, where he owns a Power Pole and a four-star Dragon Ball. In the Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot game, Goku is 24-year-old and fights against several fighters, including Piccolo and Vegeta, at the World's Martial Arts Tournament.

The game also consists of the plot where Goku's brother, Raditz, comes to earth to remind him that he was sent to the planet to destroy the inhabitation. 

2. Gohan

Gohan is the son of Goku and his wife, Chi-Chi. He is named after Goku's stepfather, Gohan. Gohan has a truly pure gentle heart as his father apart from the appetite.

He is kidnapped by his uncle, Raditz in the Dragon Ball Z metaseries. Raditz also puts Goku in the stalemate that if he does not slaughter a hundred people in the earth, then he will kill Gohan.

The story suggests that Gohan has more potential than his father, Goku. Later, Goku puts him in the test to survive against the dinosaurs and other dangers; however, he carefully monitors him.

During the excursion, Gohan turns into an Ape after he looks into the moon. Later, Piccolo destroys the moon, and Gohan again transfers to his original form.

3. Vegeta

Vegeta is the prince of the fallen Saiyan race and one of the significant characters in the Dragon Ball Z series. He is the son of Vegeta III, brother of Tarble, husband of Bulma, and the father of Trunks and Bulla. He is characterized by a regal, ruthless, and egoistic role. Also, he is a proud Saiyan and believes his heritage to be dominant in the universe.

In the Dragon Ball Z, Vegeta, along with his companion Nappa visits earth after knowing the news of Raditz's death and finds Piccolo, Gohan, and Krillin waiting for him.

Although Vegeta gets impressed by the welcoming of Piccolo and Gohan, his friend Nappa starts a battle with the defenders of the earth. He easily gets over the Z Fighters; however, Vegeta gives Goku a chance to arrive at a scene stopping Nappa to take a break for three hours. 

Noting that Goku and his friend could outturn him, Vegeta orders Nappa to kill all of Z Fighters. When Nappa tries to take Gohan's life, Piccolo saves him and sacrifices his life for Gohan's sake.

4. Piccolo

Piccolo Jr. is a Namekian and the final child and reincarnation of King Piccolo. Piccolo, along with Kami and King Piccolo, is the part of Dragon Clan, who were also the creators of the Dragon Balls.

In Dragon Ball Z, he is the initial enemy of Goku, who is a wise and smart warrior. His father, King Piccolo, was defeated by Goku, and Piccolo was born to avenge his father's death. Later, he builds up a close bond with Goku and his son, Gohan, and becomes the permanent of Dragon Ball team.

When Vegeta and Nappa visit the earth after the reports of Raditz's death reaches to their ear, and the fierce battle takes place between them and Z Fighters. In the quest, Piccolo gets killed by Nappa while trying to save Gohan, the son of Goku.
