ALTOONA, Pa (WJAC) — Family Services Inc., along with radio station WRTA-FM, held their 10th annual “Drive-by Day of Giving” on Friday at the intersection of Sixth Avenue and Union Avenue in Altoona.
Family Services runs several community service organizations, such as domestic violence and sexual assault support, and homeless assistance.
"The money that is raised today, none of it goes to overhead, none of it goes to operating expenses, it all goes back to families in the community,” said Lisa Hann, executive director of Family Services, Inc.
The group is also accepting unwrapped toys for its annual Santa project.
They tell us they have 60 families they're helping.
