REAL Housewives of Salt Lake City's Angie Katsanevas has paid off her $170k tax lien before the explosive fight that broke out between her and co-star Meredith Marks, The U.S. Sun can exclusively reveal.
Angie's alleged money issues have became the center of drama on the December 12 episode of RHOSLC.
It all started when newbie Monica Garcia, 40, brought up an anonymous Instagram DM she received about Angie, 50, being a "total fraud."
The message read: "She is not even close to the level of wealth she represents. In fact one could say she's broke.
"She has current tax lien against her and her husband has declared bankruptcy."
Monica let co-star Lisa Barlow know that documents were attached to the message that showed Angie owes $170k to the IRS.

The U.S. Sun can exclusively reveal that Angie did, in fact, have a federal tax lien in 2021, but it has since been paid.
According to the Salt Lake County Recorder's Office, the reality star and her husband, Shawn Trujillo, owed the IRS $168,183.00.
They were slapped with the lien on April 6, 2021.
Months later, they paid off the debt and it was released on December 30, 2021, per court records.

There are no active tax liens in Angie and Shawn's name.
In terms of the alleged bankruptcy filing, there are also no bankruptcy filings in either of their names.
It appears whoever sent a screenshot of a public record of Shawn's bankruptcy filing got the wrong Shawn since there are other Shawn Trujillos from Salt Lake City who have filed for bankruptcy in the past.
When reached for comment, Angie told The U.S. Sun about her 2021 tax lien: "We were advised by our tax professionals to put a pause on tax matters during the pandemic as they figured out the new tax changes.
"After the mandatory shutdown and business operations resumed, the tax obligation was satisfied.”
MEREDITH VS ANGIE
Meredith and Angie's beef was taken up a notch during Tuesday night's episode of the Real Housewives.
What was supposed to be a relaxing cast trip to Bermuda to celebrate Monica's birthday became a drama-filled few days.
The mom of four shared the mysterious DM she had received with Lisa before Monica's birthday dinner.
The Brea Baby Founder began by telling Lisa: "Meredith called me and she talked to me about how she believes that Angie is in the Greek mafia."
Lisa replied: "Oh my God. Are you crazy? That is like nuts."
Monica continued: "All the sudden, about a week ago, I start getting DMs on IG about Angie and literal, like, legal docs of her claiming bankruptcy, Shawn claiming bankruptcy. They owe $170K to the IRS."
Lisa then shared her reaction in a confessional: "These rumors are ridiculous, dumb, unfounded and lies, but the problem is it's Meredith's intention to damage Angie's friendships, relationships, reputation."
A similar situation occurred last season when Meredith called out Lisa Barlow's SEC filings for Vida Tequila, the alcohol brand she owns with her husband, John Barlow.
DINNER GONE WRONG
During Monica's birthday dinner that took place in a cave, Angie had addressed Monica's DM, accusing Meredith of sending it.
"You're accusing me of doing fraudulent things that I'm in the Greek mafia," Angie stated.
Heather then confessed to cameras: "I grew up with Angie and trust me, she is no Tony Soprano."
Shawn's wife then started raising her voice and eventually started shouting at Meredith after claiming she was "spreading rumors."
While Angie said she doesn't owe money to the IRS, Meredith stayed firm and denied that she accused her of anything at all.
Meredith responded: "I have never accused you. I have made no claims of anything. I have not made these claims.
"I never had a conversation where I said any things of that nature about you."
Monica then interrupted and said that Meredith spoke to her about the accusations.
At the end of dinner, nothing got resolved as the ladies stormed off.
Meanwhile, Monica is embroiled in a legal battle against Heather Gay's company, Beauty Lab, that has yet to be brought up on the show.
MILLION DOLLAR MANSION
Despite Angie's past tax lien, she is living comfortably in a four-bedroom, three-bath mansion that is now estimated to be worth $1.2 million, The U.S. Sun previously reported.
The Salt Lake City property was featured throughout the season, especially during an Easter luncheon she hosted and the cast attended.
According to property records obtained by The U.S. Sun, she and her husband purchased their 2,712-square-foot home in February 2020 and it has since undergone a a major renovation.
Shielded with a full security system, Angie's spacious home has lots of floor-to-ceiling windows that let in natural light and allows for stunning views of the surrounding area.
Angie also faced a serious accusation earlier this season when Monica brought up a rumor about Shawn having affairs with gay men.
