JOHNSTOWN, Pa (WJAC) — Officials with Richland School District held a dedication and ribbon cutting ceremony Friday for its new tennis facility.
The facility now stands at the site of the old Rachel Hill Elementary School that was shut down and later demolished.
The project cost the district nearly $650,000, but leaves the district with six regulation tennis courts, two of which are for public use.
District officials say there were able to get more than just the tennis courts.
They also were able to build a 100-space parking lot, a new public basketball court and much more.
