Marcus Taczanowsky was sentenced Tuesday to 39-84 months in prison for involuntary manslaughter and simple assault related charges after the death of Jessie Gordon.

The prosecution asked for consecutive sentences.

Taczanowsky pleaded guilty in January to multiple charges.

He will also have to pay $3,500 in fees.

Gordon was found unresponsive in her Westmont home in November 2017.

The 34-year old-old was taken to the hospital and remained on life support for about a week before she died.

Police say Taczanowsky assaulted Gordon the morning she was found.

In January, several of the charges Taczanowsky was facing were dropped, including murder in the first, murder in the second, murder in the third and voluntary manslaughter.
