Authorities say a water search and rescue Monday morning was part of a larger search for a missing Bedford County teen.

State police say they are searching the Saxton area for a 17-year-old who disappeared from his home Sunday evening.

A command post was set up at the Saxton VFW ballfield Monday as crews searched the nearby river as a precaution.

Saxton fire, Six Mile Run Water Rescue and Pennsylvania State Police were assisting with the search efforts.
